Still Life

Still life is more than simply an arrangement of objects on a surface; although some artists try very hard to make it look that way. Others try to do the opposite like Wayne Thiebaud whose work is more reminiscent of a bakery, with neatly laid out cakes and pies.

Still Life Powerpoint

  • When designing your still life, think carefully about the objects that they choose, as objects often have a deeper meaning.
  • Think also about  how you arrange them as this can also suggest meaning and make a viewer read a picture differently.
